In 2024, we had the privilege of hosting 5 editions of the WOT Market at our WOT Ericeira Surf Hostel, an innovative event focused on the sale and exchange of second-hand clothes, with the mission of promoting more conscious consumption practices and fostering sustainability.

Conscious consumption is more than just a trend: it is an urgent necessity in the current context. Buying clothes consciously is an important step toward reducing waste and preserving the resources of our planet. By giving new life to once-loved garments, each purchase at the WOT Market represents a real commitment to sustainability and the future of our environment.

During the markets, we opened the doors of our hostel to the public: everyone was welcome to participate, making the experience even more inclusive and accessible. As a result, we were able to not only raise awareness among our guests but also offer a unique experience that made their stay with WOTELS even more special.

Furthermore, one of the main goals of our markets was to allocate 100% of the participants' registration fees to a donation for the Tapada Nacional de Mafra, a cause aimed at the preservation and restoration of our forest. In November, we organized an awareness tour with our staff at the Tapada Nacional de Mafra, followed by a donation that will contribute to the maintenance and care of the local nature.
